Savannah
is our
grandest room, named for the 18th
Century Georgia town where we lived for many years. It is a favorite with Brides and Anniversary couples,
so there's a lot of good karma in this room. It has a large bow window facing
Southwest towards
the Mountains forming the Eastern rim of the Smoky Mountains
National Park, including Mount Lyn Lowry with its illuminated cross. The lace-canopied King sized pencil post bed
is a reproduction in mahogany of an 18th century federal style bed. This
style of bed was the most common in use in the finer homes of New England at the
time of the Revolutionary War. In addition to having
a top-of-the-line pillow top mattress, it also has a feather bed, and in the
colder months,
is covered with a luxurious goose-down duvet. The lace canopy drapes can
be left tied back as shown or allowed to hang free around the bed to create the
ultimate romantic atmosphere.

The artwork includes
prints from Savannah
Georgia and a rare limited edition civil war print signed by the artist,
Mort Kunstler. The room is air
conditioned, and has cable television with a CD/DVD and VCR player. We've
even supplied some CD's, one of them is titled "Songs For Lovers".
There is a refrigerator and a
telephone.
The large bathroom is surrounded with windows looking onto Eagles Nest
Mountain and is fitted with a two-person Jacuzzi whirlpool bath, shown below
right, an
oversized shower, a bidet and a double vanity. |

We have
stayed at many "Cool" places, but we must say this has been the best! The
entire atmosphere is just awesome! We are all sad to be leaving, but we
will be back! Take care. Regards.

Thank
you for the wonderful hospitality you have shown us during our visit. You
have made our first visit to a Bed and Breakfast such a delight. We've
enjoyed our delicious breakfasts and warm conversations. The Savannah room
is even prettier and more romantic in person. We loved everything about it
and especially loved the spacious bathroom and tub! We look forward to our
next visit with you. If you are ever in the Lexington area, our home is
open to you. Sincerely.
J & M, Paris. KY July 2000
Our
second visit was even better than our first! Thank you for the wonderful
hospitality, delightful surroundings and of course, the outstanding breakfasts.
We enjoyed ourselves tremendously in what is fast becoming our annual "Fall
